A vampire jumped over the tombstones like a professional athlete, knocking Buffy flat on her butt with a loud thud.

"Hey!," Buffy said as she quickly rose up to her feet, "That‘s very un-polite, sneaking up on people like that," she continued saying as she reached for the stake she kept under her jacket.

The vamp charged at the slayer once again, throwing random punches at her. Buffy dodged them, giving the undead creature a solid kick on the chest that sent it flying across the graveyard and onto a tree.

She ran towards the creature, stake in hand, when suddenly she felt a piercing pain on her right shoulder.

Another vampire had walked out of the darkness around them and slashed her un-expecting shoulder with it’s claw-like glove.

Buffy quickly spun around, staking the fork handed vampire with her left hand, then, taking advantage of the momentum, with a slick movement she threw Mr. Pointy at the other vamp, turning it into a cloud of dust that quickly dissipated into the cold breeze of the night.

She walked to the nearest bench, holding her hurt shoulder, and sat down.

"You pretty much gave ‘em a run for their money," a familiar voice said.

The blonde turned around only to see Oz standing a few steps behind the bench, smiling.

"Well, well, if it isn’t Mr. American werewolf in Paris… ," she implied smiling, noticing his funky Brazilian outfit as he walked towards her.

"Need help? That’s a pretty deep cut," he asked her, evidently worried.

"Nah, thanks, it’s not that serious, nothing a cartoon bandage and some non-fat yogurt can’t cure," she replied.

"C’mon, my motel is close, right past "Mr. Donuts" , my van is parked at the front gate," he told her, signaling to the entrance of the cemetery.

She hesitated for a moment.

"C’mon Buffy, I’ll give you a bandage… and some non-fat yogurt," he said smiling at her.

Convincing her with that little smile.

"I love these! ," Willow exclaimed with her mouth full of donut and her fingers covered in strawberry jelly.

"Yeah, I kinda figured that’s why you always ate Giles’ jelly donuts! ," Xander answered, taking a sip of his soda.

They were enjoying a late-night snack at "Mr. Donuts".

She finished eating, grabbed a napkin and started cleaning her hands

"You know," he continued, "good thing this is open twenty four-seven cause you never know when you’re getting the mid-slayage munchies," he finished his snack and looked viciously at the box that rested on the table, "Do we really have to save some for Buffy?"

"Yes!," Willow answered jerking the box away from him.

Just as they walked out the door she saw something that caught her attention.

"Hey! That’s Oz’s van! ," she exclaimed in surprise.

"Where?, " Xander asked looking around.

"Right there! At the motel‘s parking lot! He‘s back! We gotta tell Buffy!," she said happily as she grabbed Xander by the arm, "Let’s go get Buffy at the graveyard."

"So, how was Brazil?," Buffy asked, laying on Oz’s bed, while she drove a spoon full of non-fat yogurt into her mouth, her shoulder was now covered in "Scooby-Doo" bandage strips.

"How did…?," Oz began to ask, sitting beside her.

"Your sandals scream "Rio!," the fashion conscious slayer interrupted.

"Oh… Well, it was nice. I pretty much lived from guitar gigs at cheap bars. So… How’s, um, Riley? Are you two still together?," he asked her, changing the subject.

"Nah, he flew away, literally. Haven’t really dated since… well… there was this one thing with Spike… ," Buffy replied, feeling kind of embarrassed.

"Spike!," he said laughing, "I guess I‘ve been away for too long!"

"Yeah," she continued, "It’s complicated."

"I’m sure it’s a long story… ," he said in his most comforting voice.

"I died and was in heaven, the gang brought me back but I didn’t want to hurt them so I kept the heaven part a secret. I finally told Spike, who was the only one that really understood what I felt and after all we ended up having sex… a couple of times," she resumed.

"Well," he said in some kind of shock, "Apparently not that long. I’m still surprised though."

The musician felt that maybe some music would quell the sappy mood, so he stood up and turned on his radio.

She thought for a moment, not really knowing if she should talk about this with Oz.

‘He’s an understanding guy. Plus I bet he has felt crappy in his time…,’ she thought, deciding to speak.

"I just felt so awful, so lonely, I‘m not even sure if I felt like a real person," her eyes got teary as she spoke, her voice sounding broken, "I just needed to feel… "

She was right. He really did understand.

He even felt the same way right now.

How can you see into my eyes like open doors
Leading you down into my core
Where I’ve become so numb without a soul
My spirit sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home

Oz gently kissed the tip of her nose.

"Did you feel that? ," he asked in a whisper.

She nodded in response.

"Then you’re pretty much a person in my book," he said in the same low whisper, "Can you feel this too? ," he continued, as his lips drifted across her cheek, finally meeting with her pouty mouth in a surprisingly passionate kiss.

Wake me up inside
Wake me up inside
Call my name and save me from the dark
Bid my blood to run before I come undone
Save me from the nothing I’ve become

"Where is she?," Willow asked worried, looking around the cemetery, "She was supposed to be here. Maybe something happened to her! Maybe some hideous creature kidnapped her to be it’s wife in some horrible hell dimension?," she said turning to Xander, wearing a frown on her forehead.

"Relax Will," he said sitting on the bench where Buffy was supposed to be, "She’s probably home watching some Hindu movie, you know the drill, sex, lies and incomprehensible story lines. Guess that means she’s not hungry," he said grabbing a donut.

"No! We’ll go see Oz then we'll drop by Buffy‘s house and give her HER donuts! ," Willow said in a bossy tone.

Buffy broke the kiss.

"I… I gotta go, slay duty and all… ," she said getting up and walking to the door.

Oz walked over to her.

"Wait," he said, "I could go with you… on patrol."

"I don’t think that’s a good idea…," she said, unconsciously taking a step towards him, "I mean… until the others know and all..."

Then it happened again… they kissed.

Now that I know what I’m without
You can’t just leave me
Breathe into me and make me real
Bring me to life

He grabbed her hips, making her let out a low needy moan as they stumbled their way back to the bed.

They were giving in.

They were falling under.

They were surrendering to their sporadic feelings, to their desires.

They were quenching their thirst for company.

They were calming the hungry sea of loneliness that stormed inside both of them.

They were giving in.

They were falling under.

Wake me up inside
Wake me up inside
Call my name and save me from the dark
Bid my blood to run before I come undone
Save me from the nothing I’ve become
Bring me to life

Oz’s needy mouth licking, kissing and nibbling her neck made her feel tickles cascading down her spine.

He heard the noises she made, the moans of pleasure gave him the answer he needed to continue his voyage, gently kissing her collarbone.

Frozen inside without your touch, without your love
Darling only you are the life among the dead

She ran her fingers through his peroxide-blonde hair, encouraging him to kiss her on unexplored territories.

All this time I can’t believe I couldn’t see
Kept in the dark but you were here in front of me
I’ve been sleeping a thousand years it seems
Got to open my eyes to everything
Without a thought, without a voice, without a soul
Don’t let me die here, there must be something more
Bring me to life

Suddenly the door swung open. It was Willow, who decided to walk in after having knocked on the door about twenty times without any answer.

She dropped the "Mr. Donuts" box as she managed to cover her wide open mouth with her hands.

What a surprise. Oz and Buffy. What an unpleasant surprise.

She just stood there in awe.

They didn’t even notice her presence.

The red head backed out of the room and closed the door. Rivers of tears streamed down her face as she did so.

She ran towards Xander, who was walking down the hall in her direction.

"Hey!," he said sounding chipper, that is until he noticed she was crying, as she tried to pass him by.

He grabbed her by the arm and looked at her immensely confused.

"Will, what’s wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost… you haven’t right?," he said.

Will struggled to get free but he held her tightly, now by both arms.

"Will c’mon! Calm down!," he said as she suddenly sank her head into his shoulder, crying even more.

"Hush, tell me what’s wrong… ," he said sounding comforting as he held her in his warm embrace.

Willow attempted speak.

"I… I went to see Oz …and… and he was with Buffy," she managed to say while her tears threatened to choke her words.

"With Buffy? What do you mean with Buffy?," Xander asked, now even more confused.

"I… I opened the door and… and they were about to… you know… they were kissing and… and groping… and…," in spite of her efforts she started to cry even more, not being able to finish the sentence.

"What!?," he blurted in shock, "That’s impossible! Are you sure it wasn't Angel?," he asked her, not wanting to believe what Willow just said.

She nodded in response.

He stood there silent for a few seconds, still not believing what she just said.

"That's not right! I’m going down there to tell them off right now! She’s supposed to be your friend, damn it! They should know better!," he exclaimed angrily as he began to storm towards the room.

This time it was Willow who grabbed him by the arm.

"Xander! No! Please! Can we just leave?," tears rolled down her face as she begged him.
